TBC software is amazing but honest to god printing, anything out of TBC is a crapshoot at best. They have a lot of work to do. I and a lot of others simply export everything as a dwg or dxf and dress it up in a CAD program where things make sense.

I guess this is only available in the paid version of Trimble Business Center since i do not have this option.

I noticed you have a section for demolition. How do you handle demolition? I would like TBC to adjust my original contours based on removal of, for example, 6" of existing concrete. It does not appear to allow me to make a simple subgrade adjustment in the "Original" takeoff category. I am relatively new to TBC; therefore, it could be user error.

TBC HCE V3.72 When I run an area/length/count report the area doesn't match the area in the takeoff report, further investigation tells me that the takeoff report is correct. The very ODD thing is that when comparing said area all of the perimeters match! What is TBC DOING! This needs to be addressed!

Thanks for the video, this is a great feature. I have BC-HCE v3.71 installed, but the option to connect points is not in the linestring menu, nor can I seems to find it in the command pane or help menu. I double checked and I'm on version 3.71.6197.32161. Do you know how I can find the connect points feature?

First, I want to thank you for posting these videos. I have watched each one and they have helped me work through some of my projects. Second, my coworker and I have attended a couple of Sitech hosted Trimble BCE training classes as well. We work on complex corridors, divided highways with Turn Lanes and Crossovers (20' offset from alignment as Grade point) with varying side slopes that range from a simple 6:1 to a slope that goes from a 6:1 @ 18' down to a 4:1 with special ditches then ties back to existing ground. And also Bridges along the corridor. Would you be able to post a tutorial on the best practices/workflows for these kind of projects?

How do you achieve this with earlier versions of software, like 3.1? Is it possible? I really like your tutorials, very informative and done at a nice pace. So many tutorials are so hard to watch either because of such a slow pace or frankly just an annoying person hosting them. Yours are very easy to watch, follow and helpful at the same time! Can you provide a link for the VCE you are using for examination purposes of template and drawing setup?

Wow! They're finally starting to incorporate some of the Terramodel features. (The hatch pattern names are the same, lol.) The cross-section shading is cool. Terramodel doesn't do that, or if so, I don't know how. Perhaps in another year or so TBC Advanced Drafting will actually be as functional as Terramodel has been for at least 20 years.
